At last, a record of Lesley & Nic's travels on land

We've been together now (as the song goes) for sixteen years, and much land travelling has been done. 

Heretofore we have taken photos and made occasional notes and sometimes annotated maps and guides ... but we've never recorded our exploits in the way we do for our sailing (cf https://sirenaivmaster.blogspot.com/).

Henceforth we shall rectify this omission, perhaps (almost certainly) not consistently, but sufficent to entertain our dotage and possibly our family.

Our main destination for land travels has been the Lake District every year - for Nic since 2006, and for Lesley going back 40 years or so. We stay with a family friend in a little cottage nestled away in a quiet corner.

There are other travels too, and there may be more in future, so we hope dear blog-reader that you are entertained, and Lesley-and-Nic-of-the-future that your memories are jogged.
